Samsung Galaxy Tab isn’t a direct rip-off of Apple’s iPad, according to U.K. Judge Colin Birss, which is certainly good news for Samsung. CloudFlare extends reach into Australia

Web performance and security vendor, CloudFlare, has extended its reach into Australia by opening its first datacentre in Sydney.It is part of its strategy to multiply its global datacentre presence as it will be launching eight other datacentres in Atlanta, Seattle, Toronto, Seoul, Stockholm, Vienna, Warsaw and Prague. The company currently has 23 datacentres in global locations, and will be doubling the size of its London facility. Motorola U.S. Import Ban Takes Effect Today

A ban on Motorola devices in the U.S. was scheduled to go into effect today, but the Google-owned company said it has come up with a workaround to address the patent violation that prompted the ban. In May, the International Trade Commission (ITC) ordered an import ban on Android-based Motorola devices that infringe on a Microsoft-held patent. IBM sustains earning streak despite weak economy

IBM sustained its nearly decade-long streak of earnings growth as it shook off the economic jitters that have undercut several other technology companies. Earnings rose 6 per cent in the April-June period, despite a 3 per cent decline in revenue, to mark the 38th consecutive quarter that IBM's net income has climbed from the previous year.
